Disaster

It seems 3ds Max decided to forget how to save following 10 hours solid work, and I now have a corrupt file.

A lesser man would be deterred. Let's see what a single day solid work can get me, from pretty much scratch.

  1. 30 minutes in : Entire Tube reconstructed, better than before. Space for a feature I'd been trying to figure where I'd put it found. Listening to Flogging Molly, loud. Downed a whole bottle of fruit juice for energy and indigestion.

  3. as I say repeatedly, periodic 'file/save as'. Not only does this create a way of archiving your process, it also means that a corrupt file won't result in having to start again. On important projects you might do this daily.

  4. Guess I've had the lesson drilled in the hard way.

However, I do now have folders in three locations, each containing about fifteen different iterations of the work, including backups.

1TB portable hard drive, money well spent.
